Godot, Unreal, GameMaker and other engines (REST API)

Inngame has native SDKs for Unity, iOS (Swift) and the web. For any other engine, you can build the chat on top of the same REST endpoints the SDKs use.

Which option fits

  • Unity: use the Unity SDK (it also covers Android, desktop and Steam).
  • iOS app in Swift: use the iOS SDK.
  • HTML5 export (for example Godot or GameMaker for the web): the web SDK works with one script tag.
  • Godot, Unreal, GameMaker native, a custom engine: there is no dedicated SDK yet; talk to the SDK endpoints below.

The SDK endpoints

All calls go to https://app.inngame.app/v1/sdk/… with your public key in the X-App-Key header.

  1. POST /sdk/session with your device info: you get a device token (keep it), the player, the conversation and the remote config.
  2. Send that token as Authorization: Bearer … on the next calls.
  3. POST /sdk/messages with { body, clientId, context } to send. The clientId makes retries safe.
  4. GET /sdk/messages to read the history, GET /sdk/unread to poll the unread count, or open the WebSocket GET /sdk/ws for real time.
  5. POST /sdk/uploads for screenshots (moderated before they're stored).

Identity, events, cards, push and data deletion have endpoints too.
