  2. Install the package
  3. Configure
  4. Open the chat

Requirements

  • Unity 2022.3 LTS or Unity 6, any render pipeline (the UI is built from code, no prefab).
  • iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux and Steam. WebGL works too, with polling instead of a WebSocket.
  • Your app key (app_…) from Settings → Apps.

Install the package

  1. In Unity, open Window → Package Manager → + → Add package from git URL.
  2. Paste the URL below and confirm.
https://github.com/inngame/sdk-unity.git#0.2.3

You can also add "gg.inngame.sdk": "https://github.com/inngame/sdk-unity.git#0.2.3" to Packages/manifest.json. A Basic sample (pause-menu Help button with an unread badge) is available in the Package Manager.

Configure

The quickest way: Tools → Inngame → Settings, paste your key, click Send test message (it shows up in your inbox), then tick Auto initialize.

Or from code, once, in your first scene:

Inngame.Configure("app_XXXXXXXX", new InngameOptions
{
    PauseGameWhileOpen = true,
    ScreenshotHotkey = KeyCode.F8,
    ShakeToReport = true,
});

Open the chat

Put a Support or Help button in your pause menu or settings:

helpButton.onClick.AddListener(Inngame.OpenChat);
Inngame.UnreadChanged += n => badge.SetActive(n > 0);

On phones the chat is full screen; elsewhere it's a centered panel. It's fully navigable with a gamepad, including on Steam Deck.

Next: identify your players so their history follows them across devices. The full reference is in the Unity docs.
