Getting started with Inngame in 5 minutes
From sign-up to your first player message: here is the shortest path to an in-game support chat.
On this page
Create your account
- Go to app.inngame.app and sign in with Google, GitHub or an email link.
- You get an organization (your studio) and a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start.
Create an app
An app is one game or one product. Each app has its own settings (look, AI, translation, moderation, FAQ) and its own inbox filter.
- Open Settings → Apps → New app.
- Pick Game (gamepad support, Steam identity) or App.
- Copy the public key (
app_…). It goes in your build and is safe to ship. Keep the identity secret on your server only.
Add the SDK
Pick the one that matches what you ship:
- Unity (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, Steam): see Install the Unity SDK.
- Swift for iOS apps: see Install the iOS SDK.
- One script tag for HTML5 games and websites: see Add the web chat.
- Another engine: use the REST API.
Open the chat from a button, write a test message, and it appears in your inbox.
Choose where your team answers
The web inbox works out of the box. You can also connect Telegram or Discord (one topic or thread per player).
Decide what the AI does
In Settings → Apps → your app → AI, choose Off (the default), Draft (the AI writes, a human sends) or Auto (the AI answers from your FAQ and hands off when unsure). Import or write your FAQ first, so it has something to answer from.
Prefer to let your coding agent do it? Run npx inngame init unity and paste the prompt it prints.
